The study aimed to understand what Latin American cities are and what they symbolically represent for their inhabitants. Through a comparative lens between São Paulo (Brazil), Mexico City, Santiago (Chile), and Buenos Aires (Argentina), it explored the elements shaping the urban experience: landscapes, rhythms, tensions, and collective imaginaries.
Methodologies: I led the ethnographic perspective for Mexico, conducting interviews with experts in urbanism, housing, and culture, and carrying out field visits to different neighborhoods in Mexico City to observe how people inhabit and interpret urban space. I documented the fieldwork with original photography and contributed reflections on visual identity, architectural contrasts, and modes of coexistence.
